Our plastic Ecoboxes are tough, sealable, stackable and fully recyclable. For those who’ve never used the boxes, though, it may be tricky to work out just how many you need to move home or office.
Here, we offer some details of just what you can fit in a single Ecobox.

The capacity of an Ecobox
Each Ecobox has a 70-litre capacity and standard dimensions of 600 x 400 x 400 mm.
Here’s an idea of how much you can pack into just one of our user-friendly Ecoboxes:
- 120 neatly folded t-shirts
- 45 pairs of jeans
- 245 DVD cases
- 10 kg of dried Morel mushrooms
- 108 x 330 ml cans of beer
- 450 comic books
- 48 x 500 ml bottles of coke.
One Ecobox can hold the contents of a small chest of drawers
With careful packing, this is what our team managed to fit into a single Ecobox:
- 4 shirts
- 3 pairs of long pants
- 2 pairs of shorts
- 3 pairs of shoes

Ecobox load capacity
Each Ecobox has a load capacity of 20 kilograms, and is made from heavy-duty, recycled polypropolene.
This means you can safely use Ecoboxes to move heavy items, from tools to office folders, stacks of hard-cover books or large crockery sets. Where a less sturdy type of container would buckle, collapse or break, an Ecobox will keep its contents safe.
However, if you’ll be moving boxes without assistance, we don’t recommend making them quite this heavy. Rather be kind to your back and distribute heavy and lighter items evenly across your boxes.
